20/20 Vision

This year started off as any other with reflection of the past and what’s to come, but January 1st no one knew the year would turn out to be what it has been. We all went from new year, new me to new year, SAVE me. The vision we all were hoping for quickly became that of a nightmare. It’s been hard, we’re hurting, we’re tired, we’re struggling, we’re confused and at the same time we’re uniting, pursuing, challenging, and surviving. When we’re in the midst of the madness, it can be difficult to see the beauty of all that‘s being revealed to us. This year has opened our eyes and showed us things that we need to see in order to take action, in order to push ourselves to grow to be who God has called us to be. The journey was never promised to be easy, but the destination makes it all worth it. When this year started the only thing relating to starting a private practice that was on my goal list was CHOOSE NAME. That’s it! Yet somehow here I am writing this blog for my website for my private practice. Whew God moves quickly. I share that to say that sometimes those things that shake us and were meant to break us can be the very things we need in order to get to the next level. I love quotes and there’s one by Anais Nin that states, “we don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are”. Ask yourself: how am I, where am I mentally, and what am I seeing? If you don’t like what you see then decide what you’re going to do to change it.
